Dr. Richard Pesikoff, a board-certified adult and child psychiatrist and a certified member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, has been in practice in Houston for over 45 years. His office is conveniently located inside the Loop near San Felipe and 610. Dr. Pesikoff and his clinicians treat a variety of mental and behavioral health disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Pesikoff is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1971. He is in the private practice of adult and child psychiatry and psychoanalysis and is on staff at Texas Children's Hospital and Houston Methodist Hospital. He graduated from New York University School of Medicine, completed residencies in adult and child psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and is a graduate of the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute.
Dr. Pesikoff has appeared on CBS' 60 Minutes and many other media outlets. He is a noted speaker and lecturer on childhood development and drug abuse by children and teenagers. In addition, Dr. Pesikoff engages in forensic psychiatry where he serves as an expert witness for legal cases ranging from probate and family law to civil disputes and criminal trials.
